Delete your Collabist account

Step 1 — Sign in

Sign in to the account you want to delete. This confirms the request is really yours. We only use it to verify you — nothing is deleted until you confirm on the next screen.

This is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no recovery, no grace period, and no export afterwards. If you want a copy of anything, save it before continuing.

I understand my Collabist account and all of its data will be permanently deleted.

Your account has been deleted

Your Collabist account and the data listed below have been permanently removed. You can uninstall the app; there is nothing left to sign in to.

If you reinstall Collabist you can create a new account with the same email address, but none of your previous content will return.

What deleting your account removes

Deleted immediately and permanently

Your account and sign-in credentials.
All shopping lists, task lists and the items within them.
All notes, including password-protected notes and note collections.
Your preferences, display order, favourites and app settings.
Your display name and profile information.
Push-notification tokens for every device you signed in on.
Any list or note you shared with others, along with its comments, reactions and activity history. Collaborators lose access to it.
Your collaborator entry on lists and notes owned by other people. Their content is not deleted — you are simply removed from it.
Your name, email address and family-profile names on the comments and activity history you left on lists and notes owned by other people. The comments themselves stay, so the conversation still makes sense, and are shown as written by a former member.
Pending invitations you sent, and pending invitations addressed to you.
Your family group membership. If you own the family group, the group is disbanded and every member is returned to the free tier.

Retained after deletion

Feedback you submitted in the app. It is kept because it is not tied to your identity once the account is gone, and it is used to improve the app.
Subscription and purchase records. If you ever subscribed, records of that are held by Google Play and our subscription provider RevenueCat as payment processors. We do not control those records, and they are retained under those providers' policies and to meet tax, accounting and refund obligations. Deleting your Collabist account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it in the Google Play Store first.
Comments you posted on other people's lists and notes, without your name, until their owner deletes the list or note. A mention of you inside someone else's comment is part of their text and is not changed.
Anonymised, non-identifying crash and diagnostic data that cannot be traced back to you.

Can't sign in?

If you have lost access to your account, email support@collabist.app from the address on the account and we will process the deletion for you.

If you use an authenticator app for two-step verification and have lost it, email us from the address on the account. We will verify it is you and either remove the second step so you can sign in, or delete the account for you.
